The town of Albatera: Within easy walking distance from Paradise Retirement Park is the town of Abatera which has everything you could possibly need. From supermarkets to banks and bars to restaurants.
It also has a 24 hour medical center. In the traditional Spanish bars and restaurants you can sample typical Spanish fayre of Tapas and Tortillas and feel part of the Spanish community.
You will also find the prices very reasonable too as this is not a tourist area. The town is only half an hour from Alicante airport.
The town itself is famous for having a wonderful outdoor arena within Parque de la Huerta. When on one of our 4 day visits to see the park you will be taken there for sure. It is stunning and of course in keeping with the mobile home park itself. Lots of palm trees.
The name Albatera comes from the words “Alba”, meaning Spanish and “Terra”, meaning land. Albatera basically means “Spanish Land”.
The town has changed a lot over the years and is currently undergoing one more change as many old buildings are being taken down and new ones built in their place to accommodate the growing population.
What will never change however is the landscape surrounding the town and the nature reserves. There are some great places to enjoy a relaxing stroll in the warm sunshine.
For the more energetic there are some great cycle routes as well and there are already residents on the park that can tell you all about them.
The biggest advantage when enjoying the facilities in Albatera town is that you will pay normal prices.
Only on the coast will you see inflated tourist prices. That is because the Spanish use the town for their entertainment and for that they expect to pay normal prices.
By now we hope you have some idea as to what the lifestyle is like on the park and in the town. It is as always very difficult to show reality on the internet. A visit to see for yourself is all it takes.
A great way is to have a holiday in the area. Hire a car, see the area and come and see the town and park for yourself. You will be very impressed at what Manuel and Trini have created. They have built what will be to many the perfect location to live. A park to be proud of. A park where all the residents feel right at home.
If driving to see the town and the park you will find the journey very easy. The town is right off the A7 motorway that runs between Alicante and Murcia. On more than one occasion we have had people on holiday as far as Denia come and visit the park.
We simply gave them full directions. For them it became a great day out and they learnt a lot about what a residential park should be like.
Built to Park Home quality they are perfect for living in Spain. Each home is designed and built to the owners requirements. The example above is the “Monmouth” one bedroom home that is 38 x 14.
The lounge and bedroom is larger than in most homes thanks to the very clever design. We think everyone will agree the home does not like like a mobile home at all.
